NMA Design Work-Study Studio

Real World Experience

This NMA Design Work-Study Studio course is designed to provides a supervised work-study experience in a design studio environment. This course provides career mentorship and real world experience to help students prepare for entry into the design industry.

In this work-study studio course, students will apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom while working on real-world client-based projects in a supervised work environment in an academic context. As part of the readiness process to prepare students for working in real world envvironments, students will work on their personal portfolios. This includes gathering visuals and writing copy. Students will also develop self-identity items that will help to showcase their personal brands to help aid in job-seeking endeavours. This includes a personal logo, brand elements, and a designed resumé.
